Cheesecake Brownies Recipe

The brownie part of these Cheesecake Brownies is fudgy, and the cheesecake part is very smooth and creamy. This simple recipe is great for girl's night or any other event! 

INGREDIENTS 

FOR THE BROWNIE LAYER: – 1 cup (230 grams) unsalted butter , melted and slightly cooled – 2 cups (400 grams) granulated sugar – 4 large eggs room temperature – 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract – 1 cup (125 grams) all-purpose flour (spooned & leveled) – 1 cup (85 grams) unsweetened cocoa powder – 1/2 teaspoon salt FOR THE CHEESECAKE LAYER: – 3 packages (8-ounces each) PHILADELPHIA Original Cream Cheese , softened to room temperature – 1/2 cup (120 grams) sour cream , room temperature – 2/3 cup (135 grams) granulated sugar – 3 large eggs room temperature – 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract Optional: 2 ounces semi-sweet chocolate , melted

INSTRUCTIONS

Warm the oven up to 177°F (350°C). Spray nonstick cooking spray on the inside of a 9x13 baking pan and line it with aluminum foil or parchment paper. Set the pan aside.

Mix melted butter and granulated sugar in a large bowl. Whisk eggs and vanilla until combined. Add flour, cocoa powder, and salt and mix just until combined.

Spread brownie batter evenly in the pan. Bake the brownie top for 20-22 minutes at 350°F (177°C) to set. After baking, let cool for 5-10 minutes while making the cheesecake layer. Keeping oven at 350°F (177°C).

Beat PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese and sour cream until smooth in a stand mixer with the paddle attachment or a large electric mixer bowl.

Scrape bowl sides as needed to mix sugar and vanilla. Stir in eggs one at a time on low speed until combined. Cover brownie layer with cheesecake filling.

Return to the oven and bake 350°F (177°C) for 25-30 minutes until the cheesecake edges are set but the center is jiggly. Allow bars to cool on a wire rack, then cover and refrigerate for 3–4 hours.

Cut into squares, drizzle with melted chocolate, and refrigerate for 10-15 minutes until firm. Serve and enjoy.
