Mix the almond flour, salt, and all-purpose flour in a bowl until thoroughly blended. Put aside.

Blend room-temperature butter and sugar with a stand mixer or electric hand mixer with paddle attachment. Medium speed takes 3–4 minutes.

Stir dry ingredients into wet ingredients just until mixed. Fold chopped maraschino cherries just until blended.
