Chocolate chip cookie bars recipe

In bar form, your favorite cookie recipe! It's really simple to make these chocolate chip cookie bars. All you need are eight simple things. 

– 1 cup (2 sticks, or 230 grams) unsalted butter (melted and slightly cooled) – 1 ½ cups (300 grams) packed light or dark brown sugar – 2 large eggs at room temperature – 1 large egg yolk at room temperature

Ingredient

– 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract – 2 ½ cups (315 grams) all-purpose flour (spooned & leveled) – 1 teaspoon baking soda – 1 teaspoon salt – 1 (12-ounce package, 340 grams) semi-sweet chocolate chip

Direction

Heat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper or foil, leaving an overhang for easy removal.

Whisk melted butter and brown sugar in a large bowl until fully combined, then add eggs, egg yolk, and vanilla extract and mix until just combined.

Mix the flour, baking soda, and salt until just combined, then fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips. Put the batter in the baking pan and spread it evenly.

Twenty-five minutes should set and lightly brown the bars. After baking, wire-rack cool. Lift bars from pan using foil or parchment paper overhang, slice, serve, and enjoy!
