Chocolate Chip Cookie in mug Recipe

Your favorite chocolate chip cookie tastes in a mug! This mug chocolate chip cookie takes less than 10 minutes and uses common ingredients. 

– 2 tablespoons unsalted butter melted (30 grams) – 2 tablespoons packed light brown sugar (25 grams) – 1 tablespoon granulated sugar (12 grams) – 1 large egg yolk at room temperature – 1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract – 1/4 cup all-purpose flour spooned and leveled (32 grams) – Pinch of salt (about 1/16 of a teaspoon) – 2 tablespoons semi sweet chocolate chips plus more for sprinkling on top (30 grams)



Spray nonstick cooking spray on a cup. Whisk melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a small bowl until well blended. Mix in egg yolk and pure vanilla.


Add flour and salt and mix well. Add semi-sweet chocolate chips. Fill the mug with batter and smooth the top. Top with more chocolate chips if desired.


Microwave 60–75 seconds to set the top. Carefully remove from microwave and let cool for a few minutes. Just before serving, add ice cream or other toppings.
