To make your own Dulce de Leche, you only need one simple thing. It's simple, tastes great, and can be used in lots of different ways!
INGREDIENTS
SERVINGS: 1 CUP– 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
INSTRUCTIONS
Bring a large pot of water to boil. Preheat oven to 425°F (218°C). Spread sweetened condensed milk evenly in an 8-inch square or 9-inch pie plate. Wrap the baking dish in foil and place in a large roasting pan.

Fill the roasting pan with the boiling water you set on the stove earlier until it reaches halfway up the baking dish.

Bake the roasting pan at 425°F (218°C) for 1 hour 30 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes until the mixture thickens and turns amber. If needed, add hot water to the roasting pan halfway through baking.

From the oven, carefully remove the baking dish from the roasting pan. Place the dish on a wire rack and carefully remove the foil. Whip smooth dulce de leche and cool. Store cooled dulce de leche in an airtight container in the fridge.
