– 1½ cups all-purpose flour– 1 cup sugar– 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder– 1 teaspoon baking soda– ½ teaspoon salt– 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract– 1 tablespoon white vinegar– 6 tablespoons melted butter or shortening– 1 cup warm water

INSTRUCTION
Pre-heat the oven to 350. Grease and flour an 8-inch cake pan. Set aside. Sift flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, and salt in a large basin.

Stir in vanilla, vinegar, melted butter, and warm water. Prepare cake pan and pour batter. Bake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, 30–35 minutes.
