INGREDIENT
– 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour– 1 teaspoon baking powder– ¾ teaspoon ground nutmeg– ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon– ½ teaspoon salt– ½ cup lightly packed brown sugar– ½ cup granulated sugar– ¾ cup unsalted butter softened– ¾ cup eggnog– 2 egg yolk– 1 teaspoon vanilla extractFor the icing:– 1 tablespoon unsalted butter room temperature– 2 cups powdered sugar sifted– ¼ cup eggnog– sparkling sugar or extra nutmeg for sprinkling optional

INSTRUCTION
Mix flour, baking powder, nutmeg, cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl. Set aside. An electric mixer or stand mixer with a paddle attachment can froth butter and sugar in a large bowl.

Step 1
Mix eggnog, yolks, and vanilla on medium speed until smooth. Gently whisk in flour. Cover and chill dough 1h. Preheat the oven to 300°F. Set up silicone or parchment baking sheets. Set aside.

Divide dough 2 inches apart on baking sheets with a medium cookie scoop. Bake till edges brown in preheated oven 20–25 minutes. Cool on a wire rack after quickly cooling on the baking sheet.

Freeze cookies. Mix eggnog, powdered sugar, and butter in a stand mixer or large electric mixer bowl with paddle attachment. Beat slowly until integrated, then speed up and mix for 2-3 minutes.

Icing cookies. While icing is wet, add sparkling coarse sugar or nutmeg.
