Bread pudding recipe

A few simple ingredients make this bread pudding recipe easy. Our family's favorite recipe goes well with a big scoop of ice cream!

– 1 loaf day-old challah bread cubed into 1-inch piece – 5 large eggs lightly beaten – 1 cup (200 grams) granulated sugar – 4 cups (960 ml) whole milk – 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract – 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg – 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Use nonstick cooking spray on a 9x13 baking dish. Spread cubed challah bread evenly in the baking dish.

Mix eggs, sugar, milk, vanilla, nutmeg, and cinnamon in a large bowl. Be sure to coat all the bread in the baking pan with the mixture. Wait 15 minutes to absorb the mixture.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C). After 15 minutes, bake the bread pudding for 45–50 minutes until set. Serve after cooling from the oven.
