Homemade marshmallow icing is much easier than you think! This shiny, fluffy frosting may be made with a few ingredients to fill and top many cakes and cupcakes like marshmallow fluff.
INGREDIENT
-1 ½ cups sugar-1 tablespoon light corn syrup--⅛ -teaspoon salt-⅓ cup water-2 egg whites-2 teaspoons clear vanilla extract

INSTRUCTION
Boil a small to medium saucepan of water. The recipe doesn't call for this water.

Step 1
Add sugar, corn syrup, salt, ⅓ cup water, and egg whites to a metal or glass dish large enough to sit over the saucepan without touching the water. Do not cover the pan with the bowl.

Step 2
Beat the mixture for 1 minute with a handheld electric mixer on medium speed. Bowl over boiling water.

Step 3
Keep beating with the electric mixer on high for 7 minutes until voluminous and glossy. Add vanilla and stir for another minute.Frost cake or cupcakes as desired.
