Spinach, Onion, and Bacon Dip Recipe

Party dips are essential, and this Spinach, Onion, and Bacon Dip is a hit! Serve it hot with homemade garlic toasts and your guests will likely request the recipe.

INGREDIENTS

– 5 slices bacon, chopped – 1 medium yellow onion, diced – ¼ tsp salt – ¼ tsp pepper – 1 Tbsp all-purpose flour – 2 10-oz. packages frozen spinach, thawed and squeezed dry – 1 cup milk – ¼ cup plain Greek yogurt – ¼ cup sour cream – 8 oz. cream cheese, room temperature – ½ cup grated parmesan cheese Garlic Toast – 1 baguette, thinly sliced on an angle – 3 tsp minced garlic – ¼ cup olive oil – Pinch black pepper – ⅓ cup grated parmesan cheese

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven to 350.Bacon should crisp in a large saucepan in 10 minutes. Drain on paper towels. Remove all but 1 teaspoon bacon fat from pan.

Step 1

Add onion, salt, and pepper to pan and stir for 8 minutes. Add flour, mix. Pan, add spinach, milk, Greek yogurt, sour cream, and cream cheese. Use a spatula to melt cream cheese.

Step 2

 Keep stirring until creamy. Return bacon to pan and add ¼ cup grated cheese. Mix well.Top the spinach dip in an 8x8 baking dish with the remaining ¼ cup of grated cheese.

Step 3

 Bake the dip for 15 minutes until bubbly and golden. Serve hot dip with garlic toasts or other toppings.

Step 4

Bake baguette slices on a baking sheet at 350 degrees. Mix olive oil, garlic, and pepper in a small bowl.

Apply oil mixture to baguette slices lightly. Top with parmesan. Bake bread slices for 10-12 minutes until golden and crispy.
